A New Vision

Isaiah 43:18-19

Remember ye, not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

It is a new year we must begin to behave differently as we aspire for a new level of glory this year 2023. We need to demonstrate a different level of faith forgetting the past.

To show that we believe, one of the things that must change is our vision. We need a new vision.

1. Catching plenty of fish was a level of glory, fishing for men is a new level of glory.

2. Being with Jesus for the disciples was a level of glory but the Pentecost was a new level of glory. Act 2:1-2

3. The covenant with Moses was a level of glory, but the new covenant established by Jesus was a new level of glory. Hebrews 8:6-8

4. Accessing the holies of holies through a priest was a level of glory, accessing it at any time individually was a new level of glory.

To be specific this is the time to see things in the light of a new level of glory. If you are still seeing things the way you use to see them then nothing has happened to you.

Your vision is most important because it is what determines what you get. What you cannot see you can not get.

Vision is the act or power of anticipating that which will or may come to be:

Vision is a conception that is inspired by God in the heart of a human. The greatest gift God ever gave humanity is not sight, but a vision. Sight is a function of the eyes, but vision is a function of the heart. You can have sight and not vision.

Throughout history, progress has been made only by people who have “seen” things that were not yet here. Vision is seeing the future before it comes into being. It is a mental picture of your destiny. God gave humanity the gift of vision so we would not have to live only by what we see.

If you don't see yourself as successful you cannot be successful. What you were seeing before is under a level of glory, what you should be seeing now under a new level of glory should be different.

Joshua 15:18-19 And it came to pass, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou? Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs and the nether springs.

The daughter of Caleb had already gotten the south land from her father before but under a new level, she requested a spring. She saw something different - a new vision and she jumped to ask for a spring and she got two springs. What wonder can happen when you can see new visions?

Jesus was trying earnestly to make His disciples see things differently in Act 1:5-8, all they were seeing is one king that will restore the kingdom of Isreal. They could not see that the scope has changed and that the messiah is for the entire world.

In Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
