Genesis 1:1
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
What is the beginning?
1. The point in time or space at which something begins.
2. The first part or earliest stage of something.
3. The background or origins of a person or organization.
The beginning of anything is very important. As we have started the year 2022 what we do at the beginning of the year will go a long way to determine how the year will be.
Why is the beginning very important?
1. It is the foundation: The beginning of anything or a process is the foundation that every other thing will rely on.
2. It is the seed that produces the harvest.
3. It is the source or origin.
What must you do at the beginning of the year?
1. Start with God. Genesis 1:1.
Starting with God means to put God first. That you started the year from Church does not mean you started with God.
a. Solomon started with God by giving a special offering. IKing 3:3-6.
b. Jesus started with God by separating himself to fast and pray. Mathew 4:1-2.
c. Jacob started with God by taking away distractions and was left alone with God.
d. Elijah started with God by repairing the altar. IKing 18:30.
2. Create.
In the beginning, the first thing God did was to create. Genesis 1:1. In the beginning, God created....
Creation involves imagination. You must create the picture you want to see in the year through your imagination. Create those expectations in your heart and commit them to writing or putting them in a form that you can see every day.
Habakkuk 2:2 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
What you create becomes the expectation you are demanding from God and working towards for the year.
In Genesis 1:1...God created the heaven and the earth. When you are creating as a Christian it is expected that you not only create earthly things, but also divine (heavenly) things.
As you put God first and begins to create Heaven will breathe on you in Jesus name.
