We are still discussing Adam, in part two of this series we examined two lessons from the betrayal or disloyalty of Adam. In this part, we will look at the concluding lesson and its application.

• The devil always has a long explanation or description to portray what he offers, whereas God's instructions are precise and sharp with no need for long explanation or description.

Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The above Scripture shows the precise and sharp instruction of God to Adam and Eve but by the time the devil came, he gave them a long description or explanation of death.

Genesis 3:And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Whenever you want to try to give a long explanation for what you are doing you are heading towards disloyalty. The devil told Adam and Eve that it is not that they will die but their eyes will only be open and they will begin to be able to differentiate between good and evil.

Adam and Eve did not see that the devil was only giving a long description of the death that God warned them about as a way to divert their attention.

Application: when you find yourself trying to give a long explanation for what you have done know that you are on the part of disloyalty to God. You don't need a long explanation when you are on the right part with God.

When people start campaigning to explain or debate about a matter that has to do with our obligation to God please beware and step out disloyalty is looming.

Friends, let us learn from the fall of Adam and set our life on the path of loyalty. Beware our God is jealous God.
