NARROW IS THE WAY...

Mathew 7:14

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Life is beautiful and pleasurable. How do we live our life here on earth and as well secure our eternity? Everybody wants to go to heaven but the truth is not everybody will make it to heaven. Every destination has a way, Heaven has a way. If you must make it to heaven you must pass the way.

What is the way to heaven?

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus is the way to heaven. This is the most contentious statement in the world. This is what divides the top religious body in the world. The Devil is at the heart of fuelling this contention.

As the Way, everybody must go through Him to get to the father (heaven). So, we must follow Him, if we must make it to heaven. Jesus the way said - the way is narrow. What does He mean by narrow is the way? Narrow is the way means...

1. Your will is no longer applicable: On the way set by Jesus Christ, your will has to die. To walk in this way, it is not what you want but what God wants. Your will must be consumed in His will. By the spirit of God inputted in you your will is transformed. Therefore, you are no longer in charge but the Spirit of God is the one leading you. Ephesians 4:22-24, John 3:8.

2. You are under strict guidelines and standards: On this path, you have to align to the standard set by God. On the broadway, there are no standard or the standard are set by man and can change at will. On this path, the standard is fixed no changing. 2 Corinthians 5:14, 2 Timothy 2:19, I Corinthians 9:24-27.

3. You are under control: Here somebody (Holy Spirit) has the remote control to control you. You must submit to the control to stay in this way. God will also put people over you to put you under control. If you are not under control you are walking in the broadway. Hebrews 13:17, I Corinthians 6:19-20.

4. You have to fight self: To walk in this way, you have to keep fighting self to put it under subjection. 1 Corinthians 9:26-27, Romans 7:14-25.

5. The world will hate and reject you: If you are in this way the world will hate and reject you. They will not want to associate with you on certain matters because of your belief. They will bypass and sideline you. They will not want you to get to a certain position. Even friends will reject and forsake you. It will be a lonely journey for you. Mathew 10:22, John 15:18-19.

This way does not appear attractive, isn’t it? Because most people want to have whatever they want, do things their way; they don’t want to operate under any rule or standard; operate under anyone’s control; they want to be accepted and wanted by all. This unattractive way is the way that Jesus leads through and it is the only way to life.

Choose today between the broadway and the Narrow way, but remember narrow is the way that leads to life (Heaven).
