PEACE

Luke 1:78-79

Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Peace according to simple English Wikipedia means a state of harmony, quiet or calm that is not disturbed by anything at all, like a still pond with no ripples.

We live in a world that is chaotic, you find yourself juggling a stressful job, issues in relationship, battling with sickness, financial woes, debt and bills, marital failure, societal woes and a host of others. Life becomes such a monster anytime you wake up.

The truth is in the mist of all these you can find peace – The Peace that passeth all understanding Philippians 4:7. This peace defies man’s understanding.

 A story was told of a missionary man who was kept in jail to be killed but was singing all day to the extent that even the jailer was confused. He sang until he was killed. A man who was present at the execution said to himself this man full of joy in death must have something that the whole world does not have.

This peace comes from the indwelling of Jesus Christ Romans 5:1-2. With the indwelling of Christ, you will –

· See hope in despair

· See health in sickness

· See success in failures

· See victory in Warfare

· See restoration in loss

· See life in death

The indwelling of Christ in a man is by the word and the Holy Spirit.

Jeremiah 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Do you desire this peace that passeth all understanding? Allow the word of God and the Holy Spirit to dwell in you. Keep close connection with the word of God and the Holy Spirit and your life will begin to experience the peace that passeth all understanding. In the mist of serious financial challenge, you wake and he drops a word and a song in your heart that keeps you calm and hopeful of the miraculous.

 A man said the first thing that happens to me after I gave my life to Christ was PEACE. I felt an inner peace that I could not explain. Even when things were not going the way I desire I felt peace such that I have never had in forty years that I had lived without Christ.  

Connect with Jesus today by allowing His word and the Holy Spirit to flow within you and you will begin to experience the peace that passeth all understanding. God bless you.
