The Gospel of Jesus: Salvation

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Salvation is a subject that has been confused by many and it is a subject that is in the heart of Jesus. It is the very reason he came.

Object of Salvation

The very object of the Salvation plan of God is Heaven (eternal life). To restore men back to himself and give them access back to Eden (Heaven) for eternity.

The Source

The love of God is the source of salvation. Salvation was born out of His love for humanity. John 3:16.

The medium

Jesus is the only way for men to be saved. Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

The connecting part

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

1. The mouth- confession

2. ‎The heart- believe (faith).

The process

1. Acknowledge that you are a sinner. Be sincere to yourself.

2. ‎Godly sorrow. By reason of acknowledgement you regret what you have done and have a feeling that you have wrong God.

3. ‎Confess your sin before God. Confession with your mouth is important in this process. Romans 10:9-10.

4. ‎Believe in the saving grace through Jesus Christ.

5. ‎Accept Jesus as your lord and Saviour. John 3:18, John 1:12.

6. ‎Accept and submit to the baptism by water (immersion). It is an outward commitment that flows into the inward man. It is physical show of your connection to the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

7. ‎Receive the seal of the Holy Spirit by the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

The understanding of this basic is important for us to run with the salvation plan of God.
