Act 1:10-11
And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
The death and resurrection of Jesus breed hope for the world, not just for Christians. His death and resurrection brought so many things into place...
1. Death was swallowed up in victory. 1 Corinthians 15:54. This means death no longer has power over man (in Christ). Man regain the power of eternity to live forever, only subject to the first death.
2. All power in heaven and earth was surrendered to Jesus Christ. Mathew 28:18.
3. Jesus was given a name above any other name. The name became a potent force. Philippians 2:5-11.
4. Through the blood of Jesus we gain direct access to God. The middle wall between us was broken. Ephesians 2:14-17.
5. The veil was torn and we could now access the holies of holies. Mathew 27:51.
6. Grace was released by his death and resurrection. Grace for everyone to access God through Christ- Jews and gentiles alike.
7. A new covenant was enacted by the shedding of His blood. Hebrews 12:24.
8. A new order broke on earth and in heaven. Jesus became the centre of all things both on earth and in heaven.
9. Man regain his authority and blessings. Christ by His death received for us power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessing. Revelation 5:12.
Through all HOPE was born...
• Hope of eternal life after death. John 3:16
• Hope of restoration for one who has lost something.
• Hope of healing for the sick. John 5:5-10.
• Hope of salvation for the sinner. Luke 19:5-9.
• Hope of remembrance for the forgotten. Mark 5:2-3.
• Hope of supernatural supplies
• Hope for the condemned. John 8:6-11.
• Hope of all possibilities. Luke 1:37.
• Hope of heaven (rest).
All you need to be part of this hope is to surrender your life to Christ and remain rooted in Him and you will never be hopeless on this earth and beyond.
Declaration:
I surrender all to Jesus, withholding nothing. Father, forgive me all the sins I have committed as I accept Jesus as my Lord and saviour. Today I connect to hope, I connect to Jesus.
