Isaiah 9:6

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

A Child is always named by his or her parent. The name given by the parent to a child is borne out of a different factor. One such factor is how the child came. How was Jesus Christ conceived?

1. Miraculously conceived- The conception defies the natural law of a sperm (man) and egg (woman) production.

2. The birth was prophesied- There is no man in history that his birth was prophesied several years before he was born. Isaiah spoke about his birth many years before his birth. Isaiah 9:6.

3. He was a fusion of the supernatural and the natural. Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

4. Carried in the womb by a virgin. This is unprecedented!

His conception has highlighted above sum up why his father (God) called him Wonderful. The life and personality of Jesus Christ show Him as a wonder to connect with.  In Him is the wonder of God revealed to the world. He is indeed Wonderful!

How Wonderful is He to us (humanity)?

1. By His stripes, you are healed. Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes, we are healed. A man was sick for 38 years Wonderful (Jesus) met him by the pool and imparted him with healing, up he goes carrying his sickbed. Are you sick desiring healing? Say this prayer: Jesus you are WONDERFUL, heal me now and let my body, soul and Spirit be reinvigorated in the name of Jesus.

2. Through him shall all men be saved. Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

All men are guaranteed salvation in Him, regardless of the life that the person has lived. A woman who was caught in adultery was brought to Wonderful (Jesus), He gave the woman a new life telling her to go and sin no more. What wonderful love! Do you want to be saved? Say this prayer: Jesus you are WONDERFUL, please save me from my sin and give me new life in Jesus name.

3. He delivers from the work of darkness. Colossians 2: 14-15 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Wonderful (Jesus) died on the cross to put an end to every work of darkness in our life. Before he died he said it is finished. Today, you are delivered from every work of darkness in Jesus name. Connect with Wonderful by saying this prayer. Jesus, you are WONDERFUL, blot out every work of darkness in my life in Jesus name.

4. His name does wonder. Act 3:6-7 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: immediately his feet and ankles bones received strength. His name is still doing the same today. Do you need a miracle? call upon his name.

Friends, what he has done for us and what he is able to do is Wonderful. By His personality, He is the wonder you need to connect to for your life to be Wonderful.
